I was totally addicted to Sims for about two days. It was kinda traumatic actually: the first game I started up, one of the characters burnt down the house in the first five minutes and died. The second time, another character went into a coma. He simply wouldn't wake up, and his energy was just slipping away. But I do remember that after-Sims feeling, when everything is as if it's part of the game, and you wanna click on your housemate to make her clear the dishes away...
