The Dreaded Question
Dec. 17th, 2008 08:55 pmPeople keep asking me the Dreaded Question. If I answer wrong, it will sour friendships and family relationships. If I answer honestly, people think I'm trying to dodge my way out.
"What do you want for Christmas?"
I don't really want things. Not presents and trinkets and stuff.
I want friends full of wonder.
I want love that makes me smile at random moments.
I want adventure and exploration.
I want stillness and meditation.
I want hopes to hope, dreams to dream, a future to fight for.
But I already have all that.
*scratches head*
Can I have a Komodo dragon too?
