The ABC starts screening Carnivale at 8:30 this Sunday.

It's a 12-part series about the battle between light and darkness, set in a Depression-era travelling freakshow. Reviewers have compared it to David Lynch.

I' am so looking forward to this. American Gothic weirdness, complete with midgets, lizard men, and spooky preachers. Sounds like it might be right up the alley of reinzero and patchworkkid too.

I've seen about the first half or so of it - and the Lynch comparisom is spot on. It's a damned peculiar show, but the writer/s clearly have a destination in mind. It also has a damned fine ensemble cast.
