Adding malice to mischief

It's one of life's little mischiefs that when I most desperately need time to write, work shifts me from 4 to 5 days a week. Unfortunately, I also desperately need the money. And the extra day is paid at casual rates.
And, now, adding malice to mischief, one of the people from work is sick, I've been asked to cover the late shifts.
Which may not be so bad - write in the morning, work in the afternoon, and the evenings should be quiet enough to get at least something done.
And I need to do a Comedy Festival wrap up sometime, too.
