A Frenzy of Publication
Jun. 17th, 2010 09:50 amA package arrived for me in the post last night: my copy of Cthulhu's Dark Cults.
It's a collection of Cthulhu Mythos stories, edited by my old friend David Conyers and featuring my story "Perfect Skin".

Unboxed.

Exciting!
In other writing news: comedian Dave Bloustien linked to the Dictionary of Moments on Twitter. The Dictionary is a collection of micro-fictions, where the definition of each word is a little story.
To say that this is right up my alley is like saying the Sun is somewhat larger than your head.
Naturally I submitted something. And now it's up: Octopus.
This is all pretty heartening. The problem with writing a novel is that it takes a long time. I, on the other hand, am old and impatient. I want people to read my writing, and I want them to read it now. "Octopus" is a prefect place to start. It's funny, it's surreal, and it's only about 400 words long.
As for "Perfect Skin", you can order Cthulhu's Dark Cults from Fishpond.com.au.
