Look. I'm tired. I didn't get much sleep last night. So I made a bad mistake.

I read an interview with the guy who started the DO and DON'T columns in Vice magazine.

Reading Vice magazine always made my skin crawl. I hated myself for reading it, and the rest of the world for allowing something so smug and vile to exist. The DO and DON'T column was the smuggest and lowest of that cess pool.

Apparently, the person who started this column left Vice and started a website. The website is basically the DO and DON'T columns, but now with extra wit and subtly as reflected by the website's title: Street Boner.

I suppose I should thank him. He's given me an idea for my next cutting edge website. It's called

DAVID FLIES TO NEW YORK WITH NOTHJING IN HIS LUGGAGE BUT A SINGLE HOUSE BRICK, THEN HE USES THAT BRICK TO SMASH IN THE FACES OF SEXIST HIPSTER ARSEHOLES.

Actually, let me add to that: the sense I always got from Vice et al is that people willingly pose for pictures. They do so. They should know better.

But making fun of shots of people who don't know they're being photographed and flayed on the web.... you know, I have an astonishing large brick collection.

Hahaha. On another forum I'm on, someone started a thread something like "what the fuck is wrong with everyone these days" and it turned into a 7435674543 post MASSIVE discussion about how shit Vice is, and the whole "ironic nastiness for the lulz" crap it has spewed forth (ironic racism, sexism, looking ugly on purpose, making blogs into books - FFS MAKE IT STOP ALREADY&^%$%^$%)

It's doing the rounds and getting A LOT of hate. I can't help wonder if that's deliberate. I mean, there were apparently FB hate pages about the mother who was alleged to have killed her kids in Victoria. People love to pile on.

I'm a lot confused. It's a class project, so I can see why it this youtube was shot, but why make it public?

I don't think The Media actually said she killed her kids, but suggested only she knew the answer about the mysterious circumstances. People drew their own conclusions.

I read the same interview (in two thousand of course :) ) and feel much the same way as you. That poor little kid in the purple tracksuit pants. I know it's supposed to be humorous but it was just unfunny.

The thing that I really don't get is hipsterism in general. Does that make me uncool?
