I waited and waited for Apple to release updated iBooks. Then I couldn't wait anymore, and bought one.

And less that two weeks later, they've released an update.

Mostly it's cosmetic stuff - built in Bluetooth, bigger base RAM. I've bought those anyway, but now they're included in the base price.

The only really new features are the new trackpad, and the Sudden Motion Sensor that quickly parks the harddrive if you drop it.

Well, officially that's what the Sudden Motion Sensor is for. But apparently geeks have hacked it to do fun things, like using tilt controls to steer in a 3D maze game, or skipping through iTunes tracks by tilting your laptop forward and back.

Not exactly life-changing stuff. But if I held off for another month...

Grr.
