Casino Royale... no cheese.
Dec. 14th, 2006 01:12 pmI flew to Adelaide last weekend to see the new Bond film.
Actually, I flew there to catch up with my friend David Conyers. But he's a huge Bond fan, so the movie was our excuse.
Daniel Craig makes an excellent Bond. He's suave and witty, but with menace underneath. He suits the mood of the film, which is grittier than previous Bonds films. Less gadgets and less camp, more blood on Bond's hands.
So it's a pity that the film is so awkward.
