In This Twilight

I've been lying in bed listening to Year Zero. Standout tracks for me so far are The Beginning of the End, My Violent Heart, Zero-Sum, and that beautifully loose, looping riff in The Warning.
Listening to music in bed... that's how my teenaged love of music of bloomed, playing cassettes over and over in the dark. It gives you a chance to really concentrate on the music, in a way that I just never seem to find the time for these days. Consequently, I have shelves and shelves full of albums that I don't really know.
Maybe I just need an iPod.
(Of course, when I do finally get one, two days later I'll be crossing the road and get hit by a car. There's a reason I don't drive - my attention tends to wander.)
