From today's The Age:

Prime Minister John Howard says he won't support gay marriages because they do nothing to support the "survival of the species".

Presumably that also means he doesn't support marriages between people who choose not to have
children.

Or who are infertile.

Or who have genetic defects.

Or who aren't blonde, blue-eyed Aryan ubermensch.

Because the human species is in such danger of dying out.

Let? He should make it compulsory.

And he should fine people for not having kids. $1000 fine for each year you go past age 18 without popping out a sprog.

Because the SURVIVAL OF THE SPECIES is at stake.

reminds me that in Tassie they tried to introduce a baby bonus.. you got $1000 a year off your power bill if you had a kid, of course you had to be in a hetro marriage, no singles or gays would be eligible.
