Dec. 3rd, 2003 01:43 pmWoken in the dark by the continuous thunder, and a tsunami of rain. Lightning flashes non-stop, three or four beats a second. And it goes on for hours. Sink back to sleep. Dream vivid, jump-cut dreams. Wake up with eyes sore, head aching, feeling somehow unreal. A holy state, suspended between solid dreaming and insubstantial reality.
Then Angelica turns on the morning cartoons, and everything crumbles back to normal.

Date: 2003-12-02 10:16 pm (UTC)that storm last night rocked my world apart. i absolutely loved the violence and abandon of it . . but i’d have to agree that weather like that can put you in a surreal head-space..
i hope you’re feeling well this evening, at any rate.
