Family Pride

My sister got married yesterday.

They held a short ceremony at St. Michael's in Collins Street, which is a beautiful church. Her husband has four young children from a previous marriage, so the three boys played ringbearers, and the girl was the cutest little flower girl ever. And after the obligatory photos, the reception was held at Como House. There was even a croquet set on the lawns, although the kids seemed more interestered in smashing the balls as far as they could, than in follwoing anything as boring as rules.

andricongirl looked gorgeous in her new corset and one of morgan303's chokers. I was dashing in my new pin-stripe suit.

And my sister looked so happy.

She got married yesterday. I feel so goddamn proud.

Why did you feel proud?

I ask because, traditionally, weddings leave me cold.
When my sister got married, it was all a bit of a chore (though I knew the marriage was doomed to failure).

I think I have photos of St Michaels. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it is damnfine.

Proud becasue I love my sister, because she was extremely happy, and both she and her new husband have been through a lot of shit and overcome it together.

They make a great couple.

There are photos. No doubt they will be posted. And the suit will be taken out at regular intervals, since it was rather pricey, and I have no professional need of one.
