See, the problem with going to magnificent live gigs is that I get all inspired to make music again.

Which means wrestling with the black heart of Windows IRQ conflicts in order to make my sound card actually work properly.

Or I could just steal my beloved's iBook.

We must talk music, you and I.....

...as I have a Cunning Plan, Which Will Not Fail.

that sounds interesting, specially if your cunning plan involves getting that bloody Peecee to function correctly with the soundcard

'tis my ibook he cant have it:]

Put it this way- I've spent the morning eyeing things off in the Apple store.

An eMac with an 80GB drive and a Gig of memory comes in at about $2000.

Add another $1000 for the external USM soundcard I've been eyeing off.

An iBook would be much nicer, but that's another grand or more.

And I'd really rather just get my PC to work properly.

But all the cool kids use Macs to make music!

This cunning plan... it doesn't involve anything as Stone Age as using actual instruments, does it?

Maybe....maybe not.

What I have in mind involves a meeting of electronic frippery (for those who can drive such things), and the odd real instrument (for those of such inclinations) - within a context of some VERY stupid covers, performed by Sad Old Goths (in exchange for beer).

This is an embryonic project thus far, being driven by myself and the Reverend Doctor T. Harris, probably rolling out under the appropriately Lovecraftian nom-de-wank of "The Elder Gods".

All talk at this stage....but shall we chat? As I should also point out, some serious opportunity to once again write, perform and record would also be welcome, too.

Well?

Baring in mind that I'm more of a bedroom string plucker than an actual musician, I'm definately interested.

I'd certainly be interested in something of this sort, as long as I don't have to provide too much in the way of creative force (ie, I have pathetic compositional skills). And I don't just have to play me hooorn, I can do other stuff too.
:-)
(I've been wanting to get into doing something a little different for a while, actually).

You interest me strangely. :-)

And what else can you do, Ms K?

I have a degree in Music Performance. And I understand (and love) bizarre harmonies and rhythms.

Try me.

I'd actually like to learn how to create electronic music, I've just never really had the need to.

*Nodding with interest*

And what else do you play?

Er... well, not much. If pushed I can do stuff with a keyboard, and I sing good. But I'm keen :-)
