The Age website has a little ticker on one side that cycles through headlines. Except it's broken. Whenever I got to click on aone particular headline, it jumps to a different one.

Today's example: I go to click on Doomsday Draws Nearer - keepers of "Doomsday Clock" plan to move hands forward, and the ticker jumps to Rent-A-Blonde - American celebrity starlets snare big buck coming Down Under.

Maybe it is working, after all.

That ticker thingy has been playing up on me for a while now, too. Bugging the hell out of me, heh.

Annoys me a bit too but I'm sorta used to it by now. Effectively, a mouseover event anywhere on the ticker-box triggers the "next" button. Interestingly, this is quicker/less irritating than pressing the "next" button as that usually waits a bit to do an elaborate "fade" effect (IIRC).

Yeah its a badly made hover function: moving the mouse on and off the box refreshes it. Fucks me off, cause sometimes I move to click a link and it hops to the next one - I found that wiggling the cursor over the box, or clicking next and not moving the mouse at all, gets you back there.

Still - terrible design.
