No plans for this evening? Want to expand your mind with Science?
May I recommend "A Brief History of A Brief History of Time?
It's a cross between a science lecture and a comedy festival show.
andricongirl and I saw it last night, and enjoyed it immensely.
Ben McKenzie basically summarises Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time chapter by chapter, explaining the big ideas with a whiteboard and some amusing props. It's got quantum physics, black holes and Paris Hilton jokes in it.
Like I told Ben afterwards, it's both funny and educational.
Anyway, the last show is tonight, 7pm, at the Royal Society of Victoria building. Which is a beautiful Victoria-era building filled with historical and scientific importance. Also, portraits of eminent scientists with rather startling facial hair.

Which led to visions of all a mass of confused scientists milling in the corridors because they had to leave each room the moment they discovered them.
