Had my gastroscopy and colonoscopy yesterday.
As preparation for the test you have to fast for 24 hours beforehand, and then take laxatives. My digestive tract can be be pretty noisy at the best of times. After that routine, it was so loud it kept poor A. awake all night. Seriously. It sounded like a herd of wookiees in there.
That was the least pleasant part of it. The procedures themselves were fine. I woke up towards the end of the colonoscopy, which the anesthetist said it might happen since I was having both procedures performed at once. The bed was positioned so that I could see the same video screen the gastroenterologist was using to guide the probes.
Oh, I thought. Hey. That's my insides. Cool.
It's easy to be laid back when you're doped to the eyeballs.
Anyway... The initial results were good: no ulcers, no inflammation, no polyps, no cancer. I'll get the results of the biopsies in a week or two, which will be the final tick or cross for Coeliacs.

Glad to hear it's all good news thus far!
Edit: And the title of this post has me hearing Thomas Dolby exclaiming "She poked at me! With SCIENCE!". Thanks for that. :)
